Home / School Agreement
The Home School Agreement is an agreed statement explaining the school’s basic expectations of its pupils and the responsibilities of the pupils’ parents/carers. The Agreement defines:
- The school’s aims and values
- The school’s responsibilities in relation to its pupils and parents/carers
- The parents’/carers’ responsibilities
- The school’s expectations of its pupils
The Home School Agreement has been drawn up in consultation with parents and is based on the premise that parents play a crucial role in helping their children learn. It is designed to help bring about the highest possible standards of achievement through close communication, and provide the framework for an effective partnership between Greenfields Junior School, its parents/carers and pupils. We ask all pupils and parents to sign a copy of this agreement. A copy of this agreement is attached below.
A survey by Ofsted has shown that consistent use of Home School Agreements as part of the school’s approach improves behaviour and gains greater commitment from pupils.
