Time to Shine - November 2016
A huge well done to everyone who took part in Greenfields Junior School's Time to Shine Day on Monday 28th November, 2016. There were some very brightly decorated and accessorised uniforms, colourful wigs, skirts and high-vis jackets too. Everyone should be very proud of their efforts. You have all helped raise awareness of such an important subject, especially at this time of year. Congratulations to the overall winners across all the classes. Each winner received some JRSO prizes. Thank you and remember to 'be bright and seen' all the time!
On Friday 30th September, Miss Harman, Catherine E and Toby P (Year 6), were lucky to attend a training day linked to Junior Road Safety.
Whilst Miss Harman attended adult workshops, Catherine and Toby took part in fun, exciting and informative hands-on tasks. They created a radio advert with Heart FM, learnt about bike safety and why helmets can save your life. They also created t-shirts in the theme of Be Bright, Be Seen. Both Toby and Catherine had a great day and are excited to tell all of the JRSO team about our plans and projects for the future.

Competition Results - May 2016
Recently, the JRSO team lead an assembly about the Green Cross code (see below). At the end of the assembly, they invited the children to take part in a competition to design a poster to help raise awareness of this subject. The team then judged the best poster. The JRSO team would like to thank all of the entries, as it was a tough decision! The winner of the competition was Millie B in 4J. She won a high visibility goody bag full of great JRSO items, such as a bike torch, pedometer and pens!

Here you can see some of our JRSO team at our assembly on 8th March, and also some photographs from the training afternoon on 18th January.
